Webinar Content focus: There are some issues that apply to almost all legislation and need to be addressed in translating policy into legislation. This includes looking at the extent to which legislation should apply to the Crown (and its entities), application of the new law, particularly changes to existing rights and duties and retrospectivity, and legislative interpretation. Legal advisors and others will often talk to policy advisors about these concepts. This webinar will demystify them and help policy advisors and legal advisors have a common framework to discuss these matters.
